We love to hear your family activities and also what you think about our preschool to help us. We have several ways of asking for this information and we would really like to involve every family.
Some of these ways include:
We will start to send out the weekly tips either via newsletters, or Facebook or via our very own preschool app. They are a great way to remind ourselves to be present with our families and put our best foot forward at all times.
Here is this weeks tip.

Our fallen leaves and food scraps are now being turned into nutritious compost for our veggie patch and other plantings. Our visit from Brad Van Luyt of Sutherland Shire Council gave us a great start to this ongoing process.
This term, we are very excited to be introducing some additional initiatives in our preschool.
Currently the UV rating is hovering around 2 in the middle of the day. That means that children do not need sunscreen applied before going out in the sunshine. A hat will suffice for their sun protection.
This will of course change as we move into spring this term. We will keep you posted on the rating as it changes.
You will notice that we have popped a Kids Matter pamphlet into your parent files for you to read. We started to implement the KidsMatter Program 2 years ago at our preschool and we wanted to let our current families know what this program is and how it can benefit their child whilst they are here at our preschool.
Welcome back everyone and welcome to all our new families to our Engadine Preschool family. We have certainly had a very warm start to the term. The children have been enjoying the outdoor learning environment and having lots of water play and picnics.
Welcome back to all our families,
Thank you for being the positive role model figure when we weren't there. Holding their hands when they needed support. Comforting them by cuddling them when they were crying cause they fell over. Singing to them to sooth them. Most of all protecting them from the day to day struggles a 3-5 year old has to deal with e.g. sand in their eyes while playing with their besties, having a disagreement with a friend and teaching them how to "make up". Teaching how to be kind to each other. How to treat others with respect.
Thank you so much for all you have done for us and for Thom in supporting us as we have worked out what makes Thom, his wonderful self. You have cared for him so well, and the fact that he is ready for school as he is, isdue to your hard work and commitment. The portfolios are a wonderful peeks into "Thom's world" at preschool – thank you.
From the moment we walked into Engadine Preschool Kindergarten we felt instantly welcomed in to the loving, nurturing, professional, safe, educational wonderland that you create. This feeling is 100% a direct reflection of what incredible women you are. You are the heart and soul of preschool and our children are so very lucky to have you all in our lives
As their father I would like to express my heartfelt praise to you as their teachers for the wonderful job you have done in nurturing my children. They have entered into your care timid and unsure and 2 years later left confident, happy and adept, fully ready to tackle the rigors of big school
